hey Catman. Are you guys running a groomer over that? I hate bridges. We redecked a 20' early, built a 30' a couple of weeks ago, now we have two 45' footers and a 16' to build. Reminds me of the bridge going over 16 in Gorham (smaller scale though)

Catman How tall is that bridge off the tracks. you do realize that if you are on the acctual tracks taking pictures the railroad considers that tresspassing. I wish they would close that track for the winter what a nice corridor trail that would make but I know that will never happen.

The bridge is about 24 feet off of the tracks and about 85 feet long. We have premission from the RR so they know we are there. The only stipulation is that we do not do any of the heavy moving during the week while the trains are running. All of that work is now done.

Yes we do run the tucker over this bridge. The bridge was very strong and is even stronger now. I have no doubts about this one. :clapping:

Just one of the many new bridges that SLSC crew is doing this year. This one is on the new and very improved Corr 22&26 near the tracks behind the Diner. :drinks: Major brushing will improve the visibility and make it now possible to get around the groomer when a sled gets behind one. :good:

It's great to see the little one pictured here! When I took mine out last winter on a little trimming exercise, she got a good dose of reality, had her humpin brush for a couple hours. Then she disappeared on me, she actually RAN down the trail and back to house...

Big bonus today with the help of Freeride 1 :clapping: I had talked to him earlier in the year after seeing what he had done for the ATV club in New Durham. :drinks: He called me earlier this week and told me he was available to help out. So today he brought his dozer to Moose Mountain and got rid of many stumps and rocks in about a mile worth of trail. Not to mention that the trail is at least 5 to 10 feet wider than it was. I am so pleased with the accomplishment today, words cannot even come close. You have to see it to believe it. Thanks everyone who helped today to get what we got done today. Update on the bridge over the rail road tracks is that its 99% done. Pics of the finished product will come later, pics are of todays hugh shot in the arm. :good: Steve H.

Thats for sure. Its just unbelievable what can be done with the machine and someone that can operate. I have often said that there are people that can "run" a machine and there are people that can "operate" a machine. If anyone knows what I am talking about its about using the machine to your fullest advantage. Using the weight of the machine to move a rock or stump, using multiple functions of the machine in one fluent motion, with angling the blade as you are lifting and ....operating the tracks to get the result you want. My hat is off to free ride to see what he can do with a dozer. :good: I had another Friend out close to where we were yesterday in an excavator. Another person that makes it so easy. Thanks Lakes region Septic and Curt D. :drinks: Awesome weekend for SLSC and the whole snowmobiling community will benefit this winter from the great help we have received. :clapping: Steve H

Just be sure to keep any industrial sized magnets and metal detectors away from our bridges!

As we get ever closer to to Dec 15, we are crossing our projects off the list of things to do. This is a very good thing, because, I saw snow in the Wakefield area today. :yahoo: Pics are of Moose Mountain area. and the final product of our bridge. Some before and after of the bridge, and the guy in the pics responsible for the Hugh undertaking of the bridge, my dad, thanks dad for all your hard work.
