MAN, I just have to sit here and grin,, there is NOTHING nicer to see than you guys doing it right,,,, and making the trails "cleaner" safer, and easier to keep maintained, GREAT JOB and hats off to you,,,, keep up the great work!! so many people will benefit from your efforts.... it only takes one "crappy" pass to ruin a whole day sometimes!! especially when the lil woman or one of the kids gets hung up! thanks again for the pictures and your efforts!

Just one of the many new bridges that SLSC crew is doing this year. This one is on the new and very improved Corr 22&26 near the tracks behind the Diner. :drinks: Major brushing will improve the visibility and make it now possible to get around the groomer when a sled gets behind one. :good:

Lets keep it going. Again more pics of the very improved Corr 22&26. These are on the Moose side of the trail East of Tumble Down Dick Road. Being the trail master for the southern side of the system I wanted to take some advice from Carl P of the PMSC and try to straighten and brush for a clear line of sight. Thanks Carl, I hope all our hard work will benefit everyone this winter. With the brand new 8 mile long Corr 22 on the northern side of the system we should have, what I call a super highway as far as southern NH trails go, a awesome trail from PMSC,Evergreen system all the way to OVSC with out crossing a lake. :good: These pics are before we brushed it. Not complete yet, another Mile an half to brush toward Moose Mountain. Last couple of pics, Curt from Lake Region Septic removed 2 to 3 feet off of a hill to make a much flatter and straighter trail. :clapping:

Besides the 8 mile new part of Corr 22, this bridge will be one of the clubs major projects. This bridge is about 85 feet from bank to bank 25 feet above the active tracks. The bridge is located just East of route 16 next to the Little Miss Wakefield Diner. The bridge is currently 9.5 feet wide and we want to make 12 feet wide. This will mean removing all of the decking and putting a new deck down. Just like the rest of the clubs, we could really use some help this fall. Steve H.

A few more pics from this afternoon (I know....I need to reset the date on my camera)

Dave had seeded the area around the new bridge yesterday and wanted to get the mulch on it before tomorrows rain.

Dave, Jim, and Everett got the diaphragms and braces on last weekend.

Are you guys leaving those on those blocks? Any footings being used?

Here's the bridge we built two years ago.

The water has gotten 2" away from touching the bottom.

More progress on one of our larger challenges this fall. Making very good headway, and we even had a brand new face help. Thanks Bruce. :drinks: And thanks everyone who continue to show up every weekend ,Saturday and Sunday to make our trail as good as they can be for the whole snowmobiling community. :yahoo:

Yes indeed. Scumbags.
The Bow Pioneers is offering a $100 reward to anyone with credible information on the theft of the brand new trail signs that were installed on Oct. 4, and likely stolen the same day.
Drop me a PM with any info you may have. No questions asked if the sign is returned.

I would Like to give a shout out :yahoo: on rivercats bridge that he has obviously put his heart and soul into and say hell ya :clapping: . Thats one hell of a job. Even though our bridge we are working on is much, much, smaller, we are making very good progress. This bridge before we started only have three beams on each section. Pics from this past weekend. :drinks:

Catman How tall is that bridge off the tracks. you do realize that if you are on the acctual tracks taking pictures the railroad considers that tresspassing. I wish they would close that track for the winter what a nice corridor trail that would make but I know that will never happen.
