I think it is a problem in south western NH that many trails go from highways to goat paths in a matter of a few hundred feet. People get used to flat, wide and smooth that quickly goes into a narrow, bumpy, and twisting trail without much warning other than caution signs.
Caution means a very different thing in the Monadnock Region. On our trail system, it means that the trail is going to be quite different after you pass the sign.
I don't think there is much you can do about warning snowmobilers about changing conditions. If I am riding a new trail, I do not go over 25-30 until I feel confident about the condition of it. Most of the trails in Cheshire/Sullivan county are not for those who wish to ride it to the pin. For those who like to enjoy some nice views and woods riding, this area provides you with that opportunity.
Please be careful out there.

Very good point NH-Attak!!! (Cheshire County resident here)... But everyone should always ride with caution especially or trails they have not been on and for the first couple times out on there regular trails... I know alot of the trails I ride on have had alot of small reroutes and some trials are not even there and that threw me for a curve... So every one please ride with safely and have FUN!!!
COME ON MOTHER NATURE LET IT SNOW!!!
