Mark Woodhead and his brother David were two very reliable "grunts" on the bridge job this past fall, they waited sometimes hours for the moment we needed a extra pair or two of hands, and when it was time to work, they gave 100% this photo of Mark could not better express how we all feel!
The second picture is a great example to the unreliable currents of the river EVEN AFTER sustained cold this past week, The open water is the trail that was used many years ago.... more recently we crossed down stream , but I bet it isn't much better

We all knew this day would come, but it sure is nice to see the results of all your time, money, aggravation and toasted brain cells!

\Armand maybe YOU knew it would happen, and a few years ago a city councilor who NOW is MAYOR. knew it would happen, but there were plenty of days , in the bottom of my heart,, "I had to wonder"
The night I received a quote for $230,000 for some needed "parts" I remember not sleeping so hot....
I STILL have not had the chance to RIDE over the bridge tho I have groomed over it, does that count... ?
I'm hoping to ride over TODAY!

Dave, Thanks for posting those Pictures -JUST AWESOME... YES grooming over it is BETTER than just riding over it with a sled... I bet you were Happy Hearted, tingely feeling chill with a touch of Pride on a JOB that had been accomplished all at once...
Just wait...that trail will get more exposure now that you have done the GREAT CONNECTION over the river...

Dave, did you worry for even a moment bringing that heavy groomer on your bridge??????????? Then you Know it is a JOB WELL DONE!
Gosh I didn't give it the slightest thought driving my tractor, van, even when we had two trucks parked and working on it,,,, I figured the floor weighed 48,000 pounds... heck if it didn't fall when we put the floor down it isn't going to...
I finally drove over by sled tonight,,, I was in a rush, alone and headed toward Bow to check out a piece of trail I may groom for them coming into Mastyard off Beach Hill,,,, in terms of the bridge , what took three years to build just takes a few seconds to cross... but,
IT SURE FEELS GREAT!

I took a quick look at it on Sunday and it is pretty tight in there. I was thinking coming out by the gate but forgot about the rocks. Keep us updated.
