Just spoke with Newfields Trail Master and he told me that the ParknRide across from BurgerKing will be available starting in morning. They are going to lay out trail and groom it tonight. It will be signed as well. When pulling into lot, park on the right side as thats where trail will be. Do Not go into Mobil Station as they do not want sleds in there. There is no trail out of the back of it anyways. The trail will go to the side of Burger King. Please stay on groomed trail only as this is an active construction site and they are being generous by allowing and keeping trail open to the Rec. Trail. :good:

The Rec. Trail between the tunnels is being groomed, as we speak with a Scandic, by Newfields club. Should be awesome conditions for weekend ride.

Stay right, stay safe, and have fun!! :)

Thankyou, That should make a lot of people very happy :)
Keeping the shiny side up for more than 30 years

We must fathom the depth of the hypocrisy that Congress wants every citizen to prove they are insured, but not everyone has to prove they are citizens.

I would like to thank all of those involved as well. The Fish and Game officer who was gracious enough to give me a heads up about trucks being ticketed/towed at Walgreens. He could have said nothing about it instead of asking me to get the word out. From there it went to discussions with BOT, various members of Rockingham Rec. Trail Committee, and then the Trailmaster and Trail Administrator of the Newfields club. I can't say enough about how quick this was acheived.

All of the riders in the Rockingham County area are lucky to have people, who when given a challenge, don't back down from it. Thank you to all of the groomer operators as well.

The ParknRide Trail was groomed last night around 8:00pm. Hopefully this will make daytrippers life a little easier.

Use care in Raymond near the Old Depot on the Candia/Newfields branch. There is an excavation project at the Old Tannery. It involves EPA and other government agencies. There was issues with equipment on trail last week so slow down and pay attention when in this area.

Thanks for the info regarding the Mobil station, we realized today there is no good way to it get to it. We did however find a well worn trail to the Sunoco just to the north of the 101 tunnel and to the right after Hurlbert Toyota. The trail dumps into the parking lot without any road traveling.

As far as the Mobil station. I'd consider NOT buying my gas or anything else there all year - spring, summer and fall included. It is their decision to allow or not allow access to snowmobiles (and I'll respect that) but it is improtant to send the strongest message possible (with your wallet) that lack of support is tantamount to opposition.
