Great East, Ivanhoe, Balch , Pine River are they all being ridden on at this time Thanks
Great East was still wide open on Jan 6. It is now has a covering over the whole thing. The shores have been frozen since mid Dec. If you’re not familiar with the lakes I would check with the ice fisherman first. I would think that they have to be close to being safe

Road across pineriver, balch, and province lake yesterday, didn't see any open water looks good and trails where just groomed. On province next to 153 beach someone plowed the ice about a 100 yards long. Just be careful of the snowpiles they made if riding at night.

Thay's where they set up a snomo dragstrip every year. Sometimes they plow one 90 degrees to that also.
If you're not the lead dog the view never changes.

Riding mid week Earl, I'm jealous. You gonna be around this weekend? We cruised through the campground last Sunday and nobody was there
Will be up next Fri night to check out the new snow.

Went from Milton to Poor Peoples Pub tonight with the family. It's officially winter now that we can cross the lakes.

Use to ride Great East back in the 70's 80's.. Rule of thumb was never cross till at least the last week in Jan.
You need to know the lake. My good friends had a camp there and his dad was the expert on where was safe.
He has long since passed and was the one who got me into sledding way back.
RIP Archie
