New Amsnow came in today and it's got an article about Pittsburg riding staring a couple of well known snowmobilers. Keith gave them the tour and Armand rented them the sleds.

09/10 season 860 miles as of 2/19

08/09 season 1683 miles - 07/08 season 2504 miles -06/07 season 2662 miles

GREAT! Amsnot went and made rock stars! Now Armand and Keith will demand no brown M&Ms @ the snack shack!

Leg, thanks for pointing that out, it happened so long ago I kind of forgot about it. I remember I was suppose to tour those two writers and was down for the count with the flu and Keith ended up taking them out. The article was very well done and certainly had good things to say about the area in general and how good they found the grooming.

OT, we are not quite rock stars but we both have been in the press lately more than ever before! Wanna' be my publicist? LOL!

It's about time that American Snowmobiler focused on our area. It awfully fustrating to read alot of the articles about how great it is riding in the UP of Michigan and Wisconsin. My buddy and I trailered out to the UP in 2006 and rode for 6 days. The people were great and the accomodations were fine also, but the trails were a different story. When we got there, there was about 4-5 feet on the ground and plenty cold, however the trails were no way near our trail standards ( signs, condition). I saw 2 groomers all week and one of them was parked at the pub.

Although we had a good time and put on 1157 miles for the 6 days, I was glad to get home and ride on some real trails. To be honest I would not reccomend the trip, I was disappointed. Good thing I ride a REV.

So I am glad to see there may be an article in the next issue.

Nice article. Only thing is with the publicity , you might have a lot more of us flatlanders up there clogging your trails, especially on the weekends. I think the good snow conditions across the state might prevent some of that, I love riding up there if I can afford the time away.If not I ride closer to home. plowking

I think the locals will put up with the "flatlanders" as long as they bring their wallets. We will call it the Great North Woods stimulates plan
