Im off next week and My buddy wants to ride from his house in Moltonboro to the Pittsburg area. Roughly how far is this? what would be the best routes? and lastly where would a good place to stay be? IF pittsburg is to far what would be a closer place to stop and stay over at?

last year CKF and I rode Monday from Ossipee to the Canadian border then back on Tuesday. Including sightseeing around pittsburg and taking the long way home we were 283 miles up and 287 miles back but in straight shot your around 200. Go over red hill, onto squam to little squam and Catch the squam clubs trails at the end of little squam whcih takes you to COrridor 11 in Plymouth. From there you can run up 11 and hop onto 5 in jefferson or head over to Berlin and up the corridor over ther(17?) which is how we came home from there or the other option ride through Rumney to 5 over there.
You really need to hope for some snow to make that trip now because of the railbeds. I was discussing it with CKF yesterday because we want to ride to camp in Stewartstown maybe next weekend but right now Corridor 19 is an issue to Conway and we suspect it's an issue from Evans to Berlin and Corridor 11 and 5 both run on a fair amount of rail as well. Once you got out of Jefferson it would probably be fine going through Berlin and Milan, Millsfield and through Errol or over Dixville to pick up 21 we rode around Errol, Millsfield Pond and over Dixville last week before they got more snow and it was decent.

as of now we are takin 11 out of concord and all the way up to the twin area , if there is not enough snow we will have to rough it and take a lot of club trails till we get to the plymouth area........then there is plenty of snow, we just need to get out of the southern area without getting to much rails..................i want nothing to do with 19 ,lol.
