No such thing as 180 out on a 2 stroke. Put a little case sealer around the bolt holes when you reassemble it. The torque you said is correct. Remember, those bolts screw into aluminum; don't want to strip the threads.

Yeah the needles did have a little green, I used some emory cloth and rubbed them clean. The jets also have this green to them. I am putting in new jets and I will step them up one size due to the air filter mod. Just to be safe.

If anyone has a tip on holding the clutch while loosening the nut that would be pretty much finish this job for me :)

Cant find any holding tools locally. Its a YPZ clutch if that matters.

More Vent Lines.......

On this particular sled "Vent Lines" are very important.....They should be wrapped
around the carbs, so as to gather between the carbs and be long enough to run clear
down into the Motor Mount area......

Whether or not you are using a Power Jet has little bearing on the proper placement
of these Vent Lines......The factory wants them down in "Quiet Air" out of the turbulant
flucations that exist higher up in the engine compartment........

And as an afterthought there never were any "factory" Flatslides on this model....except
a Special Sport "X" model, much later in the series than yours.....

2 per carb, they are (I would guess) about 10" long? They are banded together and wrap around and go under carbs.

You think something is wrong with them? I didnt think the length would affect the operation, but then again......Im the one with a blown sled :(

I see. I checked them again, and they do lay all the way down to the middle of engine bay. Thanks for that, I didnt think the vents were too big a deal, other than to allow expansion/contraction of the fuel from temps.
