I was wondering if it was a Slednh rider or friend who centerpunched a deer on the Rockingham Rec. Trail in Newfields last night. I was told that deer did not survive nor did sled. Glad to hear no personal injuries. Ride safe and watch for those deer, they attack without warning!

That was a good friend of mine, he is fine, sled is toast and deer is dead.

He said he was going about 50mph when a group of deer ran out in the trail he dodged several but ran head on into one of them, he said all he could do was put his head down and hold on. The sled was a 06 MXZ 800 and it is totaled.

Glad he made out better than the sled and deer. I was out marking trails this morning just down from the spot. The deer tracks all through there and along Cuba Road are incredible. I will bet he won't be the only one unlucky enough to get one. Heard he got to borrow tow strap to get deer out of woods as well. How big was it?

I don't think that was the case, as his sled was trashed the whole front end was essentially gone, he had to nurse it out of the woods 30 miles back to the truck, I can't imagine he towed the deer out as well.

It happened in Newfields, correct or maybe that was a different one. Someone borrowed tow strap from Newfields Tucker to tow deer out to road.Where did you guys park?
