Took off out of Twin with a few buddies from RI who were staying at above the notch motel. First trailer at Fabyans and headed North on 11. Jefferson Notch freshly groomed. Crossed over behind Lowes and trails were good to excellent. Unfortunately the RI crew turned around to head home. I continued North with my new snomo friend Steve who I met in the am. Took 109 into Groveton. Small logging operation at the beginning of 109 but after the trail was a 10! all the way to Groveton. Fueled up at the GTB pumps and continued North on 5 up to 110 and up and over Dixville Peak. Groveton had plenty of snow but the trails were not groomed, still the trails were excellent. Took 134 over to the lookout trail and into swift diamond club house. We headed back the same way and had lunch at he Log Haven. Snowmobilers buffet was absolutley awesome. Great people and not busy at all. Decided to take 115 to 19 South as the route of travel home. 19 South was good to excellent. Groomed and smooth with an occasional water hole that were all well marked. It appeared to me that Dummer and Milan had more snow than the Colebrook area. Once in Berlin with took the alternate route for 19 behind the WM ridgerunners and this was the only scratchy area of trail all day. Still passable and todays snow will make even better. Once in Gorham we took 11 North home and back over Jefferson Notch with the moon guiding us in. At he end of Jefferson Notch just off the base road someone buried their car on the trail. Back at he trailer at 5:30 with 187 miles. Thanks to all the clubs for their hardwork!! Will post pictures when I back to RI tonight.

Don't you just love it when people do that? How far up the trail did they go? Sounds like you had a nice ride! :good: :drinks:

Ajack, they turned around at the intersection of 11 and 118. The pipeline trail was freshly groomed and after the logging operation on 109 we really did'nt hit a bad trail. Very little sled traffic. Tough ride home today. Conway had 6" of fresh snow. Next weekend I am going to try the Success trail out of Gorham and head to Errol that way.

Matt, I am glad you got to ride and you guys did the right thing with your plowing responsibilities. You would have loved going North and we met some great people on the trails and at Log Haven. Steve was a very good rider and never once wanted to turn around. He wants to ride with us when we are up in the Great North Woods. We will do plenty of riding next week!! We need to get the vintage racer done. I will have the hood tommorrow and I will pay the registration fee for the race. It was depressing leaving the house with 6 inches of fresh powder. The conditions in the Conway area should improve greatly!!!

Hoping to do pittsburg to twin mt. this weekend. But we go by errol not through coleman.
Too bad the rail lines up through lancaster are closed this winter. We do that on the way back. Makes for a nice long loop.

Yup, riding up that way was great last weekend. Is the success trail to errol also known as 12?
