I hear ya. I run Irving premium diesel,it is usually winter blended . Don't hurt to add something anyway. My diesel pickup is more particular then my big truck. My big truck has heated tanks, the heater hoses have coils [submerged in tanks]attached to them to circulate like a livestock heater and it keeps my fuel warm. plowking

Thanks MM. I am sure my wife will stay at the cabin with the fireplace. I have 'polar' fleece that I have not had to use yet as a extra layer. Maybe will next weekend :)

We should be arriving sometime around 1:00 or 1:30. Should be on the trails by 2:30 :) No chance of rain this time!

I had a little scare last time up with the new GSX. Found coolant on the ground the last morning the day after we used it. What the heck - brand new sled!? I called my dealer on the SAT phone in a panic. They said it just may have been from the overflow. Well doo for 09 put on a black tube for the overflow so I could not tell if it was really from that. The coolant tank was about 1/2" low so I added some BRP premix (I wondered when I would have use that bottle I bought last year "just in case"). Rode some 70 miles, temp was normal, coolant level normal and nothing was on the ground after it set aftward. Of course it was 55 degrees out the next day and we left so that was our last use of the sled.

I go on dootalk and there are all kinds of threads about "POS" clamps leaking on the 09's and some 08's ...great :( Recommendations if you find them leaking to replace them with SS hose clamps. Looks like the most common connection leak is right behind the airbox to a "T" fitting. Not fun to be changing clamps in below zero temps next weekend.

Going to use the Trailblazer next weekend to save on a little bit of fuel expense so I hope I don't need to bring the sled to Lemuiex. That SUV is terrible towing my 3 place. Well I am more worried about the -20 plus temps and my diesel gelling or my fuel fliter freezing from water. That is more the real reason to use the SUV this time. I may be more paranoid than needed though. Never had a problem yet up there. I need to do a few things to the 2500HD to make it more winterized for severe temps. There is a aftermarket fuel fliter pad heater that I am going to get. I'd feel a lot better with that installed.

Last weekend, talk to some guys on new doo with the same issue. I think once the heat up and get cold a few times they seal themselves, if not put the new clamp on.
