Had a different bear visit the feeder last night, this guy is much older, his muzzle was partly white. Compare these pics to the earlier ones and tell me what you think?

Ha ha ha..electric fence wire,Rob. Don't forget to turn it off every morning...or that wire will get you or family...electric fence wire may not keep him out. Question ? do you have a BBQ grill on that deck ? If so I'd move it off soon. There's a good reason he's coming back... Like the slogan's at F & G " "Somethings Bruin in NH" ... They have a keen nose, Steak and Chicken grease is a favorite...

No grill, no food of any kind. We used to have bird feeders on the deck, and I think the bear we had earlier this spring was the same one from last year that got up on the deck then to empty the feeders. I figure he remembered that. This guy last night is an older, larger bear than I've seen before, and he didn't bother anything except eat at the webcam feeder (which is well away from the house).

We had a bear visit here last night. Nothing like picking up garbage in the morning.

my wife saw a 3 legged bear yesterday. about 4 mi. from the house, so I would doubt it's the one that got in our trash.

well i know this doesnt have a lot to do with snowmobiling in nh but since were on the subject of bears....... it seems a moma bear and her cub set off a small panic last week when she decided to take her cub for a stroll thru DOWNTOWN NASHUA!!! oh yes its true. she was photographed by several panicked city slickers. wish i could have seen it myself but i missed it. usually the only wildlife i get to see down here are of the two legged type wearing........well you guys can figure that out...........

My neighbor has a small pond in his backyard,
he puts cat food out for the raccoons and skunks,
the coons always give way to the skunk
You can easily tell when the coons are around, the ducks leave the pond and sit on the roof of his house.

"Coon beats duck/ Skunk beats coon"

Funny how that works.

I yield to any force that is greater than my own,
I.E. I respect skunks to the upmost and give them their space...
not to mention skunks are cute little buggers, too bad they can stink so bad
