Took off Thursday morning at 7 am from Gorham to head to Pittsburg. Took 19 North to 118 to 11 to 109. The trails ere in very good shape with a few ruts from freezing over. Once in Groveton to 5 North to 28 to 19 to 15 and in to errol. GTB's trails were in exellent shape as usual. I was very surprised as to how much snow there was in the Nash stream area. After fueling up in errol we headed up 18 to 112. The trails were flat and in exellent shape. Once on 112 we took 143 and played around in some fresh untouched powder. Continued on and took 20 to to 145 through the East inlet. Absolultely perfect condtions. Took 5 South and went across 1st Ct and on to the Happy Corner for a great lunch. On the way home we took 140 North and looped back down 147 to 146 and over Shatney Mt. to 20. We actually hit a few thin areas with mud by the dam but once we got back up in the woods it was once again exellent. Took 20 to 21 to 120 and into Coleman state park. Only saw three trailers in the parking lot by little diamond. SDR's trails were a 10 plus. All were groomed and man do they have alot of snow!!!! Took 134 through the Balsams and over diamond peak. We stopped and saw what we believe were fischer cats prowling around, no birds... Took 110 over kelsey notch and back to 5 South through Nash stream. On the return trip we decided to take 117 to 19 South and back to Gorham. 117 and 19 through Milan and Berlin were soft and 19 was showing signs of breaking up, but was passable. Very limited sled traffic. Saw three moose and several deer during the trip. Our thanks to all the clubs from Gorham North. 235 miles for the day.

I don't know about anyone else, but both Berlin groomers were out today. Groomed 19n to Newell Brook and also 11s to Jefferson as well as the trails in the Jericho Park. The Jefferson groomer has not been out over the few days and I am not sure why. I heard that Gorham was out and so was the State groomer that does Cor. 12. Basically its still midwinter up here right now. 5-7 inches of new snow, drifts and cold. Can't get any better than that. Saw over 200 sleds today and trails were still great. Don't wait, warm temps are coming next week.
