Rode from Boscawen today with Old Thumper and my friend Jeff. Boscawen club groomed nice, of course Lakes Region Club a sleep as usual and their trails weren't great but passable. We took 11 North up through Alexandria, Bristol trails not groomed either. Then once we hit Hebron/Hardy country trails, man were they flat!! Night and day between them and Lakes region club.
Trail all the way to Rumney was fantastic! Took 8 over the Baker River where we were told they have a groomer down and the trails were ok, stutter bumps. Up into Lyme where 5 South was good and then over to Dartmouth Skiway for lunch. The local trails in and around the Skiway were awesome!
Continuing down 5 South into Canaan trails and they actually groomed last night!! Good job! Andover groomed as well!!
Back down the RR bed to the truck in only 6 hours. A lot of traffic on the RR bed today. It was good to see a lot of families riding today and it looks like all of the local restaurants were very busy. Enjoy the pic's.
EDIT: I edited the pics to be one under the other so as to not have a 3 foot wide page. Great pics! OT.

I was just reading this and this is exactly how I felt yesterday. The Lakes Region Club (trails through Bristol and Alexandria) were in really bad shape and the signage was poor in areas The Hardy/Hebron trails and the trails in Canaan and Rumney were incredible. I think special attention and priority have to be given to corridor trails. I live near the southern branch of corridor 13 and I have not seen it taken care of in years (even with all the snow the last two winters). I took it upon myself to have some nice signs made and put them up myself.
These corridor trails help keep the whole network together so when there is enough snow you can get anywhere from any point in NH.

Iggy ....
Really only 130 miles ?
6 hours AND you stopped for lunch ?
And let me guess ..... You didn't break the speed limit ... LOL .....
That must have been a GREAT ride. Those trails are AWESOME !
We did a similar ride but went to Stintson & Warren also, but no Lyme.
Round trip from Boscawen was 187 miles with 15 sleds.
9am and back at 8pm ..... Ya a long day .....
Had people go off trail and some get lost (person ahead not waiting at a corner)
and just the fact some people needed more rest stops than others.
But all in all it was GREAT fun and would do it again in a heartbeat !
