Hi All,

Helga and I went for a ride up across the border to La Patrie for lunch yesterday. Nice ride, but the wind was blowing a gale and sometimes the snow squalls caused white out conditions. It wasn't very cold in the morning but, by afternoon the temperature was dropping quickly.

By the way, you can now ride to the clubhouse in La Patrie without a Canadian trail pass. If you want to go further, you can buy a pass at the clubhouse, which also serves a limited lunch menu. The clubhouse is about 15 miles into Canada just follow the signs.

It was amazing how the snow conditions on the trail went from soft and "swishy" to firm, as the temperature dropped during the afternoon. The trails were smooth with a few inches of loose snow on top.

The current temperature is -7.2°F and it is also the overnight low. It is partly cloudy and the wind is calm.

The forecast is for a mostly sunny, cold day with the temperature only getting up to +7°F. Another cold night tonight with the temperature again sliding below zero.

Great riding weather as the trails have set up very solid after last nights grooming.
