I wish I could tell you, but I'm of no help. Someone will post.

Hey thanks Slush it looks like we are going to hammer down and take what ever trail ends up in front of us, just the way I like it. Don't need no stinken map!! just go north and when I find the lake's region trails I surly will share the wealth of info after I ride thru.

Did you make the trip? Did you leave from SNHSS clubhouse? Where did you go and what route did you take?

Our chase truck can only fit 3 sleds and the cab will be tight wtih gear and the driver. We have been planning this for 20 years! Who knows we may doo it again this year if the snow holds out

I rode in that area Sunday for the 1st time. We rode the train tracks from Weirs Beach center all the way past the Jack O' Lantern in Woodstock. I turned around there, but I know the trail continues on into Lincoln where it crosses the Kancamangus. From there you run behind the Hobo RR up behind Clarks Bears. From there you go thru the Flume onto the bike path past Cannon. You go thru the State Forest from there and it's a quick shot to Twin. There are several areas in between Weirs and Meredith if you follow the shoreline to pick up the train tracks. They basically run along side 93N all the way up. Just guessing you could do the Weirs to Twin in no more than 4 hours depending on trail conditions. You'll go past plenty of fuel stops in Plymouth and Lincoln. Good Luck

You can stay on the tracks and ride all the way. The tracks follow the shoreline between Meredith down to the Weirs. We left Ashland and rode down to Weirs center to have lunch. My buddy wanted to ride out on the lake after lunch. We went out from Weirs but only went a little ways toward Meredith before we jumped back on the tracks. There was very little snow on the lake and very bumpy, and that was before the rain on Monday. There were several spots to get back on the tracks between Meredith and Weirs if you are on the lake. Good luck. Bring back some pictures and stories.

Caution would be the word if you are crossing any lake or pond this week. We have more than a few washouts around here and when I was on the lake earlier this evening there was a lot of extra water pushing up through the ice.
