Cool. I'll pop an extra fifty bucks in the mail to the SOSSC groomers fund today in the hopes that it will bring good luck for this weekend! :-)

excellent - we'll be riding this weekend. is the trail to mt. shaw still closed? i have a new sledder that will be riding with me from freedom and I'd like to take him on a trip with a nice view at the end. i am going to head to the fire tower on OVSC trails as one destination, but i am looking for some others. any suggestions?

You will want a sandwich sidehillers map, I think you can get one at watsons. If you follow the OVSC system to Great Hill then leave there and head out south connector towards Intervale you will come to the end of the OVSC system then cross into the Sandwich system and the national forest. The sandwich system is marked and during the day you can find your way to Squam without a map most likely but better to be safe and have one.
You will come onto Squam Lake on the Northeast corner(you will go across another small pond before Squam itself) and if you head out a few hundred yards then head to the left as you came onto the ice and follow the tracks it will take you to the red hill trail. I would do that first so you can see it as a reference point then head down the lake to check out the view. My favorite lake when it comes to views of all of them in the area.
Corridor 15 comes over the top of the Castle in the clouds from Moultonboro, if you get onto their system at Red Hill(primary 201) it's pretty well marked to go that direction but there is a section of Winnipesaukee you need to go on where you'll want to be careful.
