SOS groomers were out all night again, Me and the 2000 and our first ride along banged out the airstrip and trout pond area. We expanded out to 153 and as far as the powerlines. That area is amazing! Toolman got some seat time with Mark and the 1000, with Dave doing patrol running in front. Their circuit was the Madison area, Sunoco, clubhouse, calumet, carved in bark. When I parked the 2000 at 3:30 they were no where in site. My thought was they'll being running till daylight. Temps are cold trails are setting up perfectly. The traxter will run though carved this afternoon to try and keep that flat, keep an eye out for it an say hi. Be sure to venture out to the clubhouse for the chili cook off it should be cool, alot of people are talking about it. My plan is to park the 1000 at CK tonight and tomorrow night to spread out the groomers, the 2000 is really pulling it's weight this year! Very encouraging! Wayno, thanks for helping mix up the snow last night until 2am. Here's what I think, Wayno does a pre-trailreport and then runs the trails he said were excellent so the groomer has to fllow him around to confirm his report. See ya on the trails junior! ;)

:good: I'll be up in the morning with the boy to take a spin, will probably ride from CK down to our house on the lake via the airstrip and back, then have him hop on mine for a run out to the junction fo the sandwich trails.

I was just looking over toward the Marina and noticed the strobes on the Tucker.

Just wanted to say Thanks! to all of the groomer crews. The SOS and OVSC trails were great this weekend. The trails did take a beating but I'm sure you'll have them back in good shape.
On my way home yesterday I noticed someone has been out on Danforth Bay and was crazy enough to attempt the end to end run. Looks like they made it. Anyone know who it was and how thick the ice is?

yes, that was me. The ice is about 8-10 inches thick. An icefisherman on broad bay was reporting that thickness on broad, and usually the ice is thinner on broad bay than danforth. It was plenty safe just be careful near the north end by the campground for the river outlet.
If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got, and then one day you’ll find yourself in second place. Stay focused.

That's the plan. We didn't get all of the brush work done on that narrow lower trail between the pit and the campground. There was too much for the loppers. Could really use the brush saws. I'll talk to the guys during the week and give you a call.

Thanks. The north end is always tricky. Best to stay over near the cove. After the cold weather this week we shouldn't have any trouble.

Whatever you need! Any chance of seeing Don? He's missing some really good riding! We should have the go ahead for that other trail also. :good:

I called him several times this past weekend just to bust his balls and brag about the trails, so I'm sure he'll be up this weekend. Missing two in a row would kill him!!!

Hey guys for whoever cares, I was riding down the bluffs road on Sunday and there was a girl on a golf cart towing a little kid in a sled on the snowmobile trail I didn't know if the campground allowed this so I just asked if they were all right. Dave told me they weren't allowed.

I'll try and find out who it was and ask her to stay off the trails. She has no business being out there and is putting herself and the kid in danger as we generally "light it up" on Presidential way.

she had light brown long hair maybe 17-20 its hard to guess how old young cuties are. It could have been her kid on the back. The snow was hard enough that she wasn't hurting the trail but that's an accident waiting to happen, and when the trail is soft she''ll tear it up.
